Who's Who?

The executive members of Longsho currently operate in Dharamsala. Longsho has its own small space rented for its office with two full time workers (President and Youth Worker) and bunch of youth volunteers. Having an office helps Longsho to grow and to organize its activities effectively within the Tibetan community.

All Longsho youth leaders are members of the Working Committee, which currently totals over twenty youth leaders. The office workers administer and co-ordinate all the activities of Longsho with the help of the Working Committee. The office workers are elected by the Working Committee through a democratic process to work for the tenure of two years. This year the President is Tsering Phantok and the youth worker is Tenzin Namsay. The number of office workers can increase in future years if deemed necessary and financially viable.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Longsho also has a Steering Committee. The aim of this Committee is to give guidance and feedback to the Longsho executive members around issues of planning, financial strategy, gaining community support as well as any other issues where help is needed. The Steering Committee consists of three well-known senior members of the community:
· Mr. Tenzin Gechey, Personal Secretary of H.H. The Dalai Lama
· Mr. Tenzin Sangpo, Principal, Tibetan Children's Village (TCV), Gopalpur
· Mr. Karma Chungdak, Director, Sambhota Tibetan School Administration
Monitoring of Longsho management is carried out in the annual meetings with Longsho Steering Committee where the executive committee will update them with the annual report of all Longsho's activities and its financial status. The Steering Committee members will count the votes at the election and declare the new executives of Longsho.
