Longsho always runs on committed youth volunteer leaders. We have two fulltime youth office worker and bunch of committed youth volunteers contributing part of their leisure time in Longsho activities. You can too become a part of our Longsho youth volunteer family if you are committed to the preservation of Tibetan cultural identity in exile. You can either join as short term volunteer for specific activity or all-time volunteer for minimum of 2 years.

In short term, volunteers come Longsho get trained and involved in specific activity like residential training camps, youth discussion form, cultural dance programme etc… The all-time volunteers committed for at least 2 year and involved in most of the Longsho activities including decision making of the organisation. Volunteering in Longsho will acquire you with basic life skills, improves your confidence, provide you work experience, meet you with many people, you can learn own rich culture and share your knowledge to others, gives you plenty of personal satisfaction and above all it contribute to preserve Tibetan cultural identity in exile.

 

We have four easy steps to become a Longsho volunteer leader. They are as follow

Step 1: Find a volunteer job

Check upcoming Longsho Activities to find a volunteer role or roles that interest you and location and time of your volunteer. You can also propose your own innovative activities on preservation of Tibetan cultural identity.

Step 2: Complete our online volunteer registration form

Once you have decided what where and when to volunteer, complete our Volunteer Registration form and submit,  where we enter your details into our database so that we can help you find volunteer opportunities that match your interests, skills and values.

Step 3: Contact us through phone/mail

Once we've received your application and entered it in our database, we will call you and ask you more about your skills, interests and availability and we'll try to find a volunteer role on our database

Step 4: Get matched to a volunteer job

After the call, we will match you to the volunteer job you expressed interest in. We will mail you the details of the volunteer, when to turn up, where it is located and so on.
